The pool is a skin
You know wear on a CS skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, Battle-Scarred. A Factory New skin is worth ten times a Battle-Scarred one, and wear never goes back down.
Here, the pool itself is the skin. It starts Factory New. Every swap wears it a little. And the more worn it is, the higher the fees, for everyone.
What wears the skin
A swap that moves the price wears the skin. A swap that does not move it barely touches it. That is all.
A small buy goes through without a trace. A big order that jumps the price 2% leaves a mark.
It is not a figure of speech. When someone jumps the price, they degrade the trade of everyone who comes after. It really is wear, and it does not repair.
Fees follow the wear
Five states, five fees. A Factory New skin costs half what a normal pool charges. That is what brings people in at the start.
Then it wears, and it gets expensive.
A watch, not a button
The fee never comes back down during the life of a skin. There is nothing to press to make it cheaper again. It only turns one way.
The end of a skin
When the skin is fully worn, it is destroyed. A card is kept, forever.
And a new skin starts, Factory New. Fee at 0.15%, counter at zero.
The score is how long it held
Every skin ends Battle-Scarred: they all go to the end. So the final state says nothing. What changes is how long they held.
A pool where people trade clean makes its skin last about three times longer than a pool where everyone hammers it.
It is the StatTrak counter of CS: a big counter means something. Here it means we played well together.
Who gets paid
The card of a destroyed skin is sold at auction, and the money goes to the people who provide liquidity.
So the cleaner the room trades, the more they earn.
No Steam item
The first idea was to unlock a real CS2 skin. It does not work, for three concrete reasons:
- a skin lives in a Steam account, with a 7-day hold after every trade, so there is no clean way to deliver it;
- Valve forbids using Steam accounts for gambling, and has already sent formal notices to skin sites;
- a stake, plus chance, plus a prize, is a lottery in almost every country.
So the CS vocabulary stays, and no Steam item is promised. The skin is a digital card, there is nothing to deliver, and the idea loses nothing: what matters here is not the object, it is the wear.
The flaw: what is not settled
The wear speed. How many swaps should a skin hold: 5,000? 50,000? It gets tuned on real volume.
The auction. How the card of a destroyed skin gets sold is the one part of the contract that needs real thought.
And the real unknown. If the fee never comes back down, do people stop trading before the end, so the skin never dies? That cannot be computed. It depends on people, not on math. It will show for real.
Why it holds
Nobody needs an explanation
Factory New, worn, scarred, a counter: millions of people already know these words.
Wear is the right word
Not a metaphor. Price impact really wears the pool, for everyone, and it does not repair.
It never needs your name
On Uniswap v4 the hook never sees the trader, only the router. Here it only looks at how far the price moved.
No swap is ever blocked
There is no gate. Just a price that goes up.
